Andria inherited his love of cooking at a very young age thanks to his father, a Head Chef and master baker on board cruise liners.
From this teenage years Andrea worked at their family hotel in the resorts of Mondello in Sicily as a commie Chef with some of top Italian chefs where he enriched his knowledge of cooking.
Andrea has traveled aculinary path that has taken him far from his Italian roots. After training in Italy, he continued to develop his skills through the kitchens of many restaurants in the UK
where he also developed managerial skills.
A career as Chef at some of the top Italian restaurants in Manchester followed, taking his profileand reputation to new heights.
Andrea as now been self employed for the past 25 years opening two successful pizzeria and subsequently two wonderful Italian restaurants “Sanremo” and “Portofino"
Andrea has had the pleasure of entertain and cooking for many celebrity and many top premiere league footballers including David Beckham, who specially requested from Andrea to prepare fresh pasta
dishes for himself and wife Victoria Andrea as been very
passionate about his love of the “Made in Italy” and his love of
cooking, this love & passion has taking him to new heights.
Currently the President of Ciao Italia Uk , the worldwide association of Italian restaurateurs, an association founded by the Italian government. Andrea’s commitment and hard work
was repaid in 2008 when he received a knighthood in Rome when, on special invitation from Rome, he met the Italian President Giorgio Napolitano, a proud moment in Andrea career.
Andrea latest recognition was received in 2010 when after an invitation from central government he traveled to Italy to accept a trade and industry plaque from the current trade and industry
minister.
